N. D. Greenman was born Nicholas Dale Greenman, Jr. on October 7, 1984, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He grew up just south of a small community called Kelly. Kelly is most known for the "Little Green Men" that invaded in 1955. When people ask him his name, he enjoys the joke, "Greenman, like an alien from Mars."

Greenman graduated from Christian County High School in 2003 and went on to attend Arkansas State University in Newport, Arkansas where he earned his Associate of Arts in Aviation and his Private Pilots License. After Arkansas, he would move back to his hometown to begin his education in Elementary Education.

Though he earned another degree, he did not pursue a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education but focused on working for PALCO Enterprises. PALCO was a small business based in Hopkinsville and Franklin, Kentucky that installed two-way radios and GPS systems in vehicles.

In the Spring of 2008, N. D. Greenman met his future wife Gabrielle Deaton. That summer, he left PALCO to train to be a preacher at West Murray church of Christ, in Murray, Kentucky. During that year's apprenticeship, Nicholas and Gabrielle were married on January 22, 2009.

June 10, 2009, the upstarting Greenman family of two started working with the Skyline church of Christ in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. In 2010, the Greenman's would suffer a loss of a child through miscarriage. Yes, it was devastating for the young couple, but it did allow the opportunity for them to grow closer together, and on October 5, 2011, they welcomed their firstborn into this world. Alethea Faith Greenman.

On December 31, 2012, N. D. Greenman ended his tenure at Skyline, and he began working for a small congregation in Wentzville, Missouri called Northside church of Christ in March of 2013.

July 26, 2013, Nicholas and Gabrielle welcomed their 2nd child into this world and named him John Collie Greenman.

In August 2015, N. D. Greenman was asked to return to his home state of Kentucky and preach for a congregation in Butler County called Christian Home church of Christ. His first day was October 10, 2015.

Eliana Marie Greenman would continue to increase the Greenman family's size when she was born on January 27, 2016.

And now the Greenman family welcomed Sophia Lael Greenman on January 19, 2018.

Elijah Charles Greenman was born September 11, 2019
